On Sunday April 23, GPBC will be hosting a delicious Chicken Dinner with all of the trimmings after the 11 am service! The meal will be served to all members and guests that morning!
Every GPBC member is encouraged to invite their unsaved and unchurched friends, family and neighbors to this delicious meal!
The purpose of this dinner is threefold: First to introduce our guests to the Lord Jesus Christ and second, to show all of our guests the gracious hospitality of the GPBC family and third, to provide everyone with a delicious meal!!
Please make plans now to be part of this fun time of faith, food and fellowship! No one is asked to bring anything other than your guests! The meal will be prepared and served to all who attend that morning!
We will miss you if you do not come, and please bring someone with you!
See you then!
Sunday April 16, 2017 Unified Service at 10:45am
I want to remind you that Easter Sunday is THIS SUNDAY!! Remember that THERE WILL BE A UNIFIED SERVICE STARTING AT 10:45AM. There will be no Sunday School at 9:45am. The Sunday Night service will be at 6pm as normal. Please start inviting friends and family members that are unsaved or without a church home. This is an opportune time to reach them for Christ! Please be in prayer for our Choir, our Kids of Praise Ministry as they present the wonderful news of Easter, “He Is Risen!”
Please make plans to not only attend this great service, but prayerfully to invite someone to be your guest! You never know what a difference that could make in their life!
God bless you!
This Saturday, April 1, 2017 GPBC needs your help as we Saturate East County with the Good News of the Gospel and a personal invitation to be with us on Sunday morning, April 16 for our Easter Service!
There are many people in East County that will be going to church on Easter Sunday that never go any other time of the year. Perhaps this invitation could be the one to help them to come to GPBC, hear the Gospel, and maybe even be saved!
Please help us to make sure that the “best kept secret in East County is NOT the Gospel and GPBC!”
Let’s work together to get the Good News out! We will meet at 10am and be finished no later than Noon! I look forward to seeing you as we continue to make a difference for our “Risen and Coming Savior!” I know that I can depend on you!
Believe it or not in the Rockwood area alone there are over 90 different languages spoken! Praise the Lord, many of those children and their parents ride our buses to GPBC every week! It is obvious that God has given to us a mission field right here in our own back yard!
No doubt, one of the most taxing but rewarding ministries is the Bus Ministry. Under the leadership of Pastor Greg Adams, GPBC and its Bus and Van workers allow us to minister to and reach hundreds every week that would otherwise never hear the Gospel or learn of the love of Jesus!
It has been said that there are two kinds of people in this world: those who do the work and those who take the credit. If we try to be in the first group; we will soon discover that there is not very much competition there. We desperately need help in this ministry and there will be an opportunity to personally get involved for anyone that is willing!
Solomon said, “Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.” Proverbs 14:4
Tonight I will share the Assets and the Liabilities of the Bus ministry as well as express our appreciation to each of our Bus Workers!
When all is said and done we will give them the credit and God the glory!
Don’t miss this special service!

This Sunday GPBC will begin the LOVE WORKS!” projects for the week of March 19-26, 2017!
Jesus clearly taught that as Christians Our LOVE must WORK!”
When he was asked “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40
James, the half-brother of Jesus “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.” James 2:14-18
There are many ways that GPBC will express our Love for God and to Others this week!
Please come this Sunday and learn how you can get involved!
As a Church, we want to work together as a mighty army of God turning East County upside down with the Gospel and Love of Jesus Christ!
As Individuals, we want to take Jesus to the people with our personal witness and compassion.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
See You Sunday!

God has blessed Greater Portland Christian Academy in an incredible way and this Sunday we want to tell you all about it!
Ever since our beginning, GPCA has partnered with parents and families to help train and educate their children for the glory of God!
At GPCA we are committed to “Excellence in Education!” The basis of that education is a “bible based education with a biblical worldview!”
GPCA is preparing for our 12th year of education with K-4 thru 8th grade.
We are also giving every member of GPBC the first chance of placement in GPCA for the new 2017-18 school year.
If you are interested or praying about this, please know that the summer will be here and over in less than 6 months. The classes will fill up quickly and it is important that you get your children registered as soon as possible.
On April 1st GPCA will extend that invitation to those who are not members of GPBC. So please take advantage of this opportunity!
If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Tallie Hein, our School Administrator, at 503-761-1136. She will answer any questions that your may have about costs or openings for the new school year of 2017-18.
Don’t miss this Sunday as we showcase GPCA and hopefully help you to make your decision for the education of your children next year!
