Bus Rider Sign-Up Blitz – Saturday, 4/29

Posted in GPBC Events

Jesus said, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23,b).

One of the most effective methods for getting the unchurched to come to church is through the bus ministry.

Each week, the faithful bus workers of GPBC go out into the community surrounding our church and bring in about 150 boys and girls (and moms and dads, too!) to Sunday School.  Every week, people hear and understand their need for Jesus and souls are saved through the labors of those in the bus ministry.

You can help!  This Saturday, April 29, from 10am-12pm, we will be having a Bus Rider Sign-Up Blitz, where we will be targeting specific areas around the church to sign up riders for the bus ministry.  Will you help us?  We will provide all the materials you will need, will assist in pairing up volunteers with experienced soul winners, and enjoy some great fellowship together as we invite new riders to come to church with us on Sunday!

We’ll see you there!

National Day of Prayer Emphasis

Posted in E-News Alert, GPBC Events, Pastor's Notes

Please join us at the Flagpoles on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 8:35 am for National Day of Prayer.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to come pray with us!

This is the 66th annual National Day of Prayer and it holds a profound significance for our country.  This is an unprecedented opportunity for every Christian to see the Lord’s healing and renewing power made manifest as we humbly come before God’s throne.

A beautiful Prayer Card will be given to all that attend!

The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer is “For Your Great Name’s Sake!” based on  Daniel 9:19 which says: “O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.”

God’s Word says in  2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Everyone is encouraged and invited to come and pray with us!

Pastor Rick Adams

God bless!
