Posted in GPBC Events

March 15-17, 2019 – Friday 7pm; Sat 9am -2:45pm

GPBC will be hosting Sam and his wife, Debbie Wood for a dynamic Couples Conference starting Friday night March 15, 2019!

Sam and Debbie Wood are the founders of Family Fortress Ministries, in Lexington, Kentucky. The mission of Family Fortress Ministries is “to exhort families in all aspects of family life to passionately fear God and to live according to His Word, so that they will experience the abundance that God desires to bless them with.”

This meeting will help each of us as couples and as a church to Celebrate Marriage! This Couples Conference promises to compliment your marriage and challenge each of us to a higher plane of living for God and our spouse! Every couple should make plans to attend every session of this meeting. I also want to encourage you to invite couples that you know who may not attend GPBC but are struggling or looking for a home church.

The Celebration of Marriage Couples Conference will start on Friday night, March 15, at 7pm and continue on Saturday March 16 at 9am -2:45pm. We will continue on Sunday March 17 in Sunday School at 9:45am; 11am and finishing up in our Sunday Night Service at 6pm!

There is a minimal charge of just $20 per couple for this conference. This includes a syllabus for husbands and wives, a book by Sam Wood on Marriage, as well as refreshments Friday night, Continental Breakfast on Saturday morning and a delicious lunch Saturday at noon! Childcare will be provided, as well for infants and children up to 6th grade.

If a couple cannot afford this cost, the church will take care of it! We just want to make sure that every couple takes advantage of this opportunity to attend!

Every couple is encouraged to sign up for this life changing conference! You may do that Online, on the Church App, or in the Foyer! Please pray with me that God will truly pour out His blessing upon us! Contact the Church office if you have any questions!

You can register online here!

God bless you!

See you Sunday!

This Sunday is TIME CHANGE Sunday!

Posted in GPBC Events

This Saturday night March 9, 2019 please set your clocks forward an hour so that we might stay on track with Daylight Savings Time (DST).  This is the tough one that takes away an hour of sleep on Sunday Morning!  As we reset our clocks it is also an opportunity to “Redeem the time” that God gives us every day!  Eph 5:16.  Moses understood this when he asked God to “Teach us to number our days that we might apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

Please don’t forget to set your clocks ahead before you go to bed on Saturday night and please be on time to Sunday School and Church this Sunday!

God bless you! Lord willing I will see you on Sunday…On Time!

This Sunday is our (Rescheduled) “I LOVE MY CHURCH!” Sunday at GPBC!

Posted in GPBC Events

This Sunday, February 24, 2019, GPBC will be celebrating our (rescheduled) “I Love My Church!” Sunday!

Due to the inclement weather event we experienced two weeks ago, our “I Love My Church” Sunday had to be cancelled, and has been rescheduled for this week.

Our theme for 2019 is “We Believe!”

While there are many voices today that speak out against the New Testament Church, let our voices resonate that we not only “Believe” in our Church…“we Love our Church!”

God has been so good to GPBC! Let us not take for granted all that He has given us!

Lord willing, we will enjoy the special music of the choir, and soloists that will bless our heart and glorify God!

I promise you that there will be messages that have been prayerfully prepared and preached from God’s Word.

We will also enjoy the blessed fellowship with some of the greatest people that you will ever meet in this world!

No wonder we Love our Church! Please do not take your church for granted! Please do not take your church for granted!

In Ephesians 5:25 the Bible tells us that “Christ loved the Church and gave himself for it!”

Every Christian ought to faithfully love, attend and support their church!

Let me also encourage you to bring any unsaved or unchurched friends with you this week!

It just might be a service that would change their life and their eternity!

As your pastor, let me challenge you to be in Sunday School at 9:45am sharp, our Morning Worship Service at 11am and then back again on Sunday Night at 6pm.

Hebrews 10:25 exhorts us Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

If there was ever a time that we should love our church it is now! God has been so good to each of us! Let each of us show our love for our Lord and His church by not forsaking it this Sunday!

The psalmist said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

Psalm 122:1

I am looking forward to seeing you!

God bless you!
