Thanksgiving Service and Pie Fellowship

Posted in GPBC Events

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26 @ 7PM

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.  Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.  Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalm 100)

We certainly have much for which to be thankful! On Tuesday, November 26, you are invited to join us for our annual Tuesday Thanksgiving Service and Pie Fellowship! Come prepared to share something for which you are thankful to the Lord and enjoy hearing the testimonies of how God has blessed in the lives of others.

Following the service, we will meet in the gym for a Pie Fellowship, so bring your favorite pie and come enjoy the fellowship with your church family.

  • Please note: there will be no Wednesday service the week of Thanksgiving.

After 37 Years, “We Still Believe”!

Posted in GPBC Events

Praise The Lord! After 37 Years “We Still BELIEVE!”

As we celebrate this year’s anniversary here at GPBC, let the record show that “We Still Believe” in the God that called us and led us here 37 years ago!

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth in 2 Corinthians 4:13-15  “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;  Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.  For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.”

As we celebrate this milestone of ministry at GPBC, let us do so with an unwavering faith and absolute confidence in God and His Word! There is no doubt in my mind that our greatest days are still ahead of us and not behind us!

Romans 15:5-6 tells us, “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

As we enter our 38th year of ministry here at GPBC let us purpose to continue:

  • Glorifying God in all that we do!
  • Obeying God’s Word and Will for our Lives!
  • Manifesting Compassion and love for others!
  • Evangelizing the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

My prayer is that as 2020 begins we like the Apostle Paul can say, “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”

2 Timothy 1:12

If our Lord should tarry His coming, may each of us at GPBC commit to a life and ministry that honors and glorifies our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Regina and I will forever be grateful for the joy and privilege of serving here at GPBC with each of you!  We love our Lord and we love this church!  Happy Anniversary!

God Bless You!
